Golden Glacier Ride - Golden Circle and Snowmobiling

A combination trip from Reykjavík on super jeeps with snowmobiling and sightseeing. Snowmobiling at Langjökull glacier after going on the Golden Circle with stops at its highlights.

Trip difficulty 2 out of 5 possible. Rated: Easy

Includes a super jeep ride and a visit to the world famous eruptive hot springs at Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall, Þingvellir National Park and a snowmobile adventure on Langjökull glacier.

The Golden Circle tour is a must do for visitors to get in touch with some of Iceland’s most famous and exciting natural phenomena. The first stop is at the Þingvellir National Park after a 40 min drive east from Reykjavík. Þingvellir is Iceland’s most historic site as it was here that Iceland’s first parliament was founded in the year 930 AD, which is the oldest parliament still in use and puts Þingvellir on UNESCO‘s cultural world-heritage list.  From Þingvellir we head along gravel mountain tracks toward the world-renowned geothermal area around the Geysir hot spring. This is the one eruptive hot spring that all such phenomena on Earth are named after. From there we only have to drive 10 km to Gullfoss (“the Golden waterfall”) where your proximity to its edge is so close you can feel the spray of the glacial water on your face. Next we kick the action into higher gear to get even closer to Iceland’s nature and go for a snowmobiling tour on Langjökull, Iceland’s second largest glacier.

We reserve the right to alter the itinerary according to weather and road conditions.

Details:
Price: 34.990 ISK per person. Add 3.800 ISK per person to have a solo snow scooter.

Pick up time: 8:30-9:00 AM.

Note:
If the whole trip gets canceled due to weather there is a full refund, but if the tour is done (Golden Circle super jeep tour) and only the snowmobiling is canceled due to weather the refund is 6.500ISK. If the snowmobiling is canceled we can sometimes offer an extra super jeep adventure or an hour of quad biking at the same price, then there is no refund for canceling the snowmobiling. This is mainly a concern during high winter and autumn when there is a lot of storms and heavy snow.
