This great super jeep adventure tour starts with a short drive to the Hellisheiði mountain where we will gear up for an ATV adventure on our Yamaha 700 cc bikes. We will race through the lava fields of the dormant volcanoes and get an up close and personal feel for the Icelandic nature.  We will then drive over the mountain seeing the new geothermal power plant and blasting through the 1000 rivers mountain track on our super jeep, crossing the river several times. As we descend down to the low lands we will drive to the Gullfoss waterfall where we will have lunch before walking down to the cascades for a closer view of the 32 meter high “golden” waterfall.

The Geysir Hot Springs are just 10 km down the road and they are our next stop. At Geysir we will see a variety of geothermal pools and seeing the Strokkur, the erupting hot spring, is sure to be one of the highlights of any visit to Iceland. From Geysir we will drive over the Lyngdalsheiði lava field and down to Þingvellir national park. At Þingvellir you will see one of only two tectonic rift valleys in the worlds, created as the continental plates of America and Europe slowly drift apart. Þingvellir is also the only UNESCO‘s cultural world-heritage site in Iceland and it was here that the Vikings held their parliament and passed out judgments. We will walk down through the Almannagjá canyon and get a feel for this beautiful, historic place. From Þingvellir it is only a short drive to Reykjavík City.

Age limit: 10 years as a passenger on the ATV.
