On this driver guided super jeep day tour you will not only see but you
will also get a hands on experience of the world famous Icelandic
Highlands. The word "remote" will get a new meaning to you as your
expert super jeep driver will drive pass volcanoes, cross rivers and
step on the gas in a lava sand desert past the 4th largest glacier in
Iceland. That´s just the beginning... when the road ends you will hike
for an hour until you reach a warm stream in the middle of nowhere!
That´s where you take your clothes off, put on a bathing suit
(optional) and step into the best pool you will ever bathe in!
Strútslaug hot springs stream is divided into two pools with piles of
rocks, one pool being warmer than the other, so you can choose the
temperature you like better.
Before we enter the highlands we will drive past the idyllic Icelandic
countryside, giving you a chance to spot the Icelandic livestock, see a
number of typical Icelandic farms and, last but not least, see the
world known Eyjafjallajökull volcano tower above the Eyjafjöll mountain
range. The way back from the highlands is a scenic route as well. The
colorful rhyloite mountains will take your breath away and the entrance
to hell, Hekla Volcano, might scare you as we drive past on our way back to Reykjavik.

You can rent hiking shoes for an additional 1.000 ISK.
This tour is also available self drive for 45.990 ISK.
Availability: June 15th to October 31st (snow conditions and weather permitting).
Departure: 8:00 – 8:30.
Minimum: 2 persons.
Duration: 12 - 14 hours.
Including: Reykjavik pick up, driver guided super jeep tour, bathing in Strútslaug hot spring and packed lunch.
You need to bring: A waterproof jacket and pants, warm
clothes, gloves and a hat. We recommend you wear good hiking shoes. If
you let us know in advance you can rent hiking shoes, waterproof pants
and a jacket.
